When people think about becoming a pilot they think "flying". Well, for the most part it is "flying" but being a "pilot" means more than just soaring across the sky.
One of the least attractive parts about obtaining your pilot certification, is the book work one must endure.
As unattractive as it is, it is a necessary evil that will prpepare you and get you through the written exam. It will also provide you the knowledge to not only pick the correct answer during the written exam, but provide you with an understanding needed for your checkride and beyond.
Flying the aircraft is really just a small factor when you are learning to "fly". It is the whole process that makes you a "pilot".
So, embrace the books and the knowledge, it will make you a better, safer pilot, in the end.
